Brief Bio
Faten Chaieb-Chakchouk is a Full Professor at the EFREI Research Lab (Paris Panthéon-Assas University) and Deputy Head of the Data & AI Research Team (since 2023). Her work spans medical imaging, 2D/3D shape analysis, geometric deep learning, and video analysis applications in sports and media, with a focus on 3D human behavior understanding. She earned her PhD (2009) and Habilitation (2016) from the University of Manouba (ENSI), where she also completed her engineering degree (1998).

Brief Bio
She is an Associate Professor of Computer Science and Head of the Data & AI Program at Efrei Paris, affiliated with Paris-Panthéon-Assas University. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from CNAM Paris (2010), as well as a Master’s degree (2006) and an Engineering degree (2003) from Manouba University (ENSI), Tunisia. From 2011 to 2012, From 2011 to 2012, she held a postdoctoral position in the Department of Mathematics at Laval University, Canada. Her research interests focus on Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Graph Learning, with applications in esports analytics and healthcare. She is currently collaborating with Alten on projects centered around artificial intelligence and performance analytics in esports.

Brief Bio
Sebastien Ricciardi is a R&D Project Manager at ALTEN Labs. He is graduated from INSA Toulouse (France) in Physics and the Royal Institute of Technology of Sweden (KTH) in numerical simulations for laser devices. After 12 years in the field of aeronautics working in several areas from system design to big data & Data Science, he joined ALTEN Data Lab in 2018. In 2021, he founded the Sport Science Research Team from the Smart Design program ALTEN Labs R&D Department. The team collaborated with the French Cycling Federation and had several success leading to 2 national titles in Time Trial for Audrey Cordon-Ragot and Olympic gold for Benjamin Thomas. The research team has now expanded its range to improve performance in nautical sports with the Zephir Project and in eSports with Lille eSports.

SCOPE
This special session aims to explore the dynamic intersections of esports and artificial intelligence, highlighting how AI methods and agent-based systems transform competitive gaming, player performance, audience engagement, and the broader esports industry. By bringing together scholars, practitioners, and industry experts, this session seeks to advance dialogue on both opportunities and challenges presented by AI in esports. We invite contributions that present novel theoretical frameworks, innovative methodologies, and practical implementations that advance the understanding and application of AI within the esports domain.

- Multi-Agent Systems in Esports: Modeling Team Strategies, Cooperation, and Ecosystem Simulations
