Within the 10th International Conference on Agents and Artificial Intelligence - ICAART 2018

CO-CHAIRS

Luca Sabatucci
ICAR-CNR
Italy

Brief Bio
Luca Sabatucci held a doctoral degree in software engineering from the University of Palermo in 2008. Currently, he is a research scientist at the Italian National Research Council (CNR), working in Palermo, Italy. Principal interests are in the areas of Self- Adaptive Systems, Requirements Engineering, and Software Patterns. In the last six years, the main topic of research is related to self-adaptive techniques, in which he published several papers and won the best paper award at SEAMS 2015. He participated in the organization and in the program committee of various international conferences and workshops.

Italy

Brief Bio
Claudia Di Napoli is a research scientist at the High Performance Computing and Network Institute of the Italian National Research Council (C.N.R.). She got a degree in Physics, with specialization in Cybernetics. Her research interests include Distributed Systems, Software Agents, Service Oriented Architectures, and Cloud Computing. She participated in several national and EU research projects, and published more than 50 papers in international journals, conference proceedings and books. She was member of Program Committees, and Organizing Committees of several international conferences.

SCOPE

This special session will provide the opportunity to present and discuss research in the intersection between service-oriented engineering and self-adaptive systems. Whereas classical service orientation focuses on the development of software systems by composition of reusable services, self-adaptation proved to be effective for implementing robust and flexible applications. The theory and practice of self-adaptation may be used for handling dynamic environments and for grating continuity of service also in case of unexpected changes of the operative context.

Topics:
The special session ASAMA invites submissions in the area of self-adaptative services. Topics include, but are not limited to, the following: Agents for: Self-organizing, configuring, managing services Adaptive orchestration and choreography Decentralized feedback loop Dynamic Holons and Holarchies Methodologies for: Requirements elicitation techniques QoS Optimization Techniques Dynamic Architectures Definition Applications: Dynamic Workflows Internet of Things Socio-technical systems Mobile and Cloud computing Robotics Smart spaces
